Sunday School Classes
Sunday Mornings 10:45 – 11:30 a.m.
We welcome you into our Sunday School classes!
An usher or any of our church members would be happy to help you find your way to the class that you select.
Please do not hesitate to ask any of our members if you need help finding a class. Classrooms on the 2nd floor begin with 200, and classrooms on the main (sanctuary) level begin with 100. All other classrooms are on the lower level.
We offer a variety of adult Sunday School classes, based loosely on age and largely on preference.
Please feel free to visit several classes before making your choice!
• Eagle’s Wings Class
• God’s Group
• Cross Talk
• New Beginnings Class
Once a month, the adult classes take turns providing a Coffee Fellowship for everyone to enjoy. On those days, you are invited to the Fellowship Hall for a time of refreshments and a renewing/making of friendships within our church family.
Children & Youth
Vacation Bible School
Our VBS is usually held in August. This year, it is July 29 – August 2, 2019. We would love to have participants join us in worship on Sunday, August 4 to show the congregation what we learned. You can learn more about VBS here.
Our Nursery is available for all children from birth through two years of age. A nursery care worker is on duty from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. each Sunday morning so that parents may feel able to attend both the church service and the Sunday School hour.
The Toddler Class is specifically designed for children ages 2 & 3 years. This Sunday School teacher is also in the room from
9:00 – 11:30 a.m. each Sunday. (We realize how difficult it is for these little ones to sit through church!) The children have a Sunday School lesson, music, craft, snack-time, and play time.
Pre-K and K Class – Way of Good Shepherd Introduction
The Pre-K and K level students meet on the first floor for a Montessori type of spiritual formation.
K – 2nd Graders – Way of the Good Shepherd Level 1
The Kindergarten through 2nd graders meet on the second floor in an atrium environment for a Montessori type of spiritual formation after the Story on the Steps in the church service. It is your discretion if your kindergartener is ready for Level 1 (requires at least 15 minutes of attention for a lesson, then “free” working time), or if he/she should attend the introduction class downstairs for more movement.
3rd – 5th Graders – Way of the Good Shepherd Level 2
3rd through 5th graders meet on the second floor in an atrium environment for a Montessori type of spiritual formation after the church service is concluded. This is during the Sunday School hour.
6th – 12th Graders
The 7th through 12th graders meet upstairs in the Youth Room.
Youth Fellowship (YF) is open to all students in the 6th – 12th grades, and is held Sunday evenings.
Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. in Uniontown Brewing Company, we meet with sister United Methodist churches for various classes. The next class will resume on September 16 and will be taught by Rev. Tom Snyder, Pastor Emeritus.
